Dear Friends, the last edition of the “Euro Hockeyfighters“ have seen 22 teams playing very good hockey and having fun, but last year we can’t use the total potential of our club because one of the synthetic pitches was too old to host good level hockey and we were obliged to make a limit to the number of coming teams, but now a new synthetic pitch have replaced the old one and we can use two high standard sinthetic pitches at full time, it mean that we expect an average number of 30 teams for the 2010 edition.

WE HOPE YOUR TEAM WILL BE ONE OF THEM.

Who organize it?
The Bra Hockey Tournament Committee.

What is it?
It is a great Hockey Festival by Bra Hockey Tournament Committee in Italy.

When?
The 3th, 4th, 5th of April (Saturday, Sunday and Monday… It's Easter don't forget!!!).

Where?
Bra, a place where hockey is a lifestyle!!! Number one of the Italian hockey clubs, our clubs teams have won more than 30 Italians championship, and the club is often used as hosting club for important events from the International Federation of Hockey, Bra and the around area is also recognized as one of the main areas in Italy for the good food and excellent wines ( Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera etc etc ).



Venue?
Hockey Center "Lorenzoni", V.le Madonna Dei Fiori 49, 2042 Bra (Cn).

What does it offer?
Competitions, meeting friends, gourmet dinner, tasting wines, vintage matches, disco, but above all fun fun fun and good friendship.

Which categories?
Five categories: a male one, a female one, female veteran one, veteran men over 40 and over 60 men superveterans, two players underage are admitted (over 35 for category over 40 and over 55 for category over 60).

Technical Level?
It doesn’t matter, every level will be admitted, write us your level and we will organize the poules accordingly.

Fun?
For all our guests entertainment occasions will not be missing! Starting from Friday evening “Gourmet dinner“ very special and only on reservation (40 places only), we will also organize a course wine and food tasting on Saturday evening and always on Saturday night we will have a masked disco party on the theme of CARTOONS.

Who can attend it?
A club, a family, a band of friends.

How many teams?
No more than 30.

Which kind of pitch?
Two synthetic pitches.

How many matches?
It will depend on the entered teams, at least four matches, with 20 minutes for every time.

Rules?
Regular teams of 11 players, playing match of two time of 20 minutes following the FIH rules.

SOME MORE INFO ON THE FEATURES

Masked disco party: will be on Saturday evening, the theme of the party will be “Cartoons“. The funniest mask will be prized with a special and very exclusive drinking prize.

Gourmet Dinner: this dinner is very peculiar. Seven different courses will be served in one of the best Restaurant of our town, each course will be attended with an expressly selected wine, there will be two starters, one pasta dish, two meat dishes, two desserts and a final coffee, the price is 80,00 Euro each person. Reservation should be made maximum two weeks before the tournament; there will be only 40 places available. The Restaurant is in the centre of the town easily to be reached by walking from the club.

Vintage match: for all the people that would like to participate there will be a vintage demonstrative match, people will play with very old rules, participants have to bring their own old stick and they can be masked as old style (moustaches, beard) the organisation will arrange for long trousers and shirts, after match a hard drink for hard players will be offered to the participants!

Wine taste course: one course of two hours on how the wine have to be tasted to understand it, will be made by a professional, that will explain in English language the way to taste wine, to do this, people will taste three white wines and three red wines, the course will cost 20.00 Euro and they will be only 25 places, reservation for this course must be made maximum two weeks before tournament and payment at the arrival.

Tournement rules?
For the tournament will be used the F.I.H. rules.
Time of the matches will be 2 x 20 minutes with 5 minutes break.
We will play on sinthetic pitch, balls must be gived to the umpires by the playing teams.
Points will be calculated as follow:

Winning match 3 points.
Draw match 1 point.
Defeat match 0 points.
Every team have to umpire a certain number of matches (two umpires with theyr own whistle for each match).
If umpires will not be presents on the pitch five minutes before starting match the team of the umpires will lose 2 points.
For any technical problem concerning rules or matches, final and unquestionable decision will be taked by the judge of the tournement.

Umpirage?
The teams should assure at least two umpires.

When does it start?
9.00 a.m. Saturday morning.

When does it finish?
16.00 p.m. Monday afternoon.

BY CAR FROM SWITZERLAND AND GERMANY
Once in Italy follow directions for Milan or Turin, according to the tunnel taken.
At this point:

If you are heading for Turin, take the bypass following directions for Savona; just before Moncalieri turn in motorway A6 for Savona; continue until MARENE tollbooth, exit the motorway; at this point you will find all the road markings you need to reach Bra.

If you are heading for Milan follow directions for Turin and motorway A4 (Turin-Milan); take motorway A26 (Gravellona Toce) near Biandrate; follow directions for Genoa; take the interchange for Asti Turin just before Alessandria; continue until Asti tollbooth and exit the motorway; at this point you will find all the road markings you need to reach first Alba and then Bra.

BY CAR FROM FRANCE.
Motorway A10 (Genoa-Ventimiglia) for Genoa; near Savona take highway A6 for Turin; at MARENE tollbooth exit the motorway; at this point you will find all the road markings you need to reach Bra.

BY CAR FROM MILANO AIRPORTS.

BY CAR FROM LEVALDIGI AIRPORT (Cuneo).
Bra rises about 20 minutes by car to the Cuneo Levaldigi airport. From the airport follow directions for Bra.

Rules
Please park your cars in allocated spaces, without blocking any throughways.
Strictly NO parking in the camping zone.
Please stay within the designated camping zone and do not camp in the roped off areas. These are for emergency access.
YOUR TENT WILL BE REMOVED IF NOT IN CORRECT ZONE.
Damage to any Bra Hockey Club property or any sort of vandalism will not be tolerated, your team will be immediately EVICTED off the site and further action will be taken.
No cigarettes, beverages, food or drinking glasses on any pitch.
Campfires are NOT permitted.
Please look after the club during your visit, remove and dispose of any unwanted litter in the bins provided, consider the clubs users and respect the surrounding areas.

SOME MORE NOTES

If You have a lack of one two players please do not esitate to contact us we’ll arrang for You some more players following Your indication of need (goalkeeper, forward, etc etc).

If some individual player (man or lady) want to come and play let us know and we’ll find some team who need players.

Inform us about Your time of arrival and departure, hotel reservation and technical level of Your team, we need this info to organiste the timetable of matches.

Place for camping have to be reserved in advance, please give us number and dimension of the tents.

We suggest You the following hotels in the town, with these hotels we made special prices agreement and we made option on a certain numbers of room till the month of february, but when You do reservation You have to specify them that You will come to the tournament:
